| This collection of
work includes paintings in acrylic, gouache (opaque watercolor),
collage, sumi ink and wax-oil crayon. Gouache works are painted
directly on a variety of rag printmaking papers and plant fiber
papers. Acrylic pieces begin with gesso and underpainting to
establish the composition and layers of paint or collage to build up
texture, color and finally areas of detail. The imagery in the
paintings comes from real and imaginary travels, scenes from magical
villages and the daily lives of our cats, chickens, cows, sheep and
other friends.
The giclee prints are sold
matted - editions limited to 250. The printed image fits in a 16 x
20" matboard. We produce giclee prints in-house using
archival inks on beautiful Tourchon, German Etching and Somerset
Papers. Each print is signed by the artist, numbered in the
edition, and titled. Larger sized prints are also available, call
or email the studio for further requests.
